Does anyone know if and how it’s possible to use Script Step to edit an existing PDF document, or more precisely, to add text to an existing PDF document?

I have never edited a PDF in an RPA process before. While PDFs are commonly read, they are not typically edited. I am curious about the process involved in editing a PDF. What do users do? Usually, users would edit a Word document first and then save it as a PDF. In the same way, a robot would do the same.
