Issue with Robot Login Due to Active Console User Session

I have been facing an issue where our robot is unable to log into a machine, and we’re not sure what’s causing the problem. Could this be related to an active console user session? For example, if a user is already logged in via the console could that prevent the robot from logging in? We’ve noticed that restarting the machine sometimes resolves the issue, but we’d like to understand what’s happening and how to avoid this in the future.

Hi,

It looks like your issue stems from having multiple console sessions, which prevents the robot from logging in. To avoid this problem, it’s important to:

  1. Ensure Only One Console Session: There should be only one console user session at a time. If multiple users or the robot itself try to log in with the same username, conflicts can arise.
  2. Log Out Completely: Whenever other user is done with work, make sure to fully log out from the session. A simple disconnect may leave the console session active, blocking the robot from logging in. Ensure that you are not just closing the session but properly signing out.
  3. Use a Different Login Method: If possible, consider using a different method for logging into the machine (like using a different account or remote session type) to prevent overlapping with the robot’s credentials.

Hope this helps you. 🙂
